Here are several parts of Kellogg’s Fun K Town city online web experience. This was a gamified hub for lots of activities and entertainment aimed at kids and using Kellogg’s various cereal brands and characters. The site was part of a big campaign as Kellogg’s embraced the power of Flash on the web and eBoy’s popular pixel art style.
Spore Productions was hired to develop these creatives, putting together the graphics, sounds, animation and interaction using Adobe Flash and Actionscript.
Fun K Town Screen Saver
This is the “screen saver” version of the Fun K Town main city hub. We programmed it to have different randomized dynamic content every time it runs, Spend time observing any particular part of the city and you’ll see people doing things like lining up for a movie or the subway train. Workers load up boxes from the factory. People walk into various buildings or go to the gym. It’s all randomized. Unlike the regular website version of the city hub, this one has no interaction and does full day and night cycles in this city that never sleeps!
