Spore Gets Ready for Claire's Boutiques

New fashion dress-up game "Getting Ready" unveiled on Claires.com

TORONTO, CANADA. - November 3, 2003 - With Halloween over and done with, Claire's Boutiques' website made the seasonal switch-over which included "Getting Ready", a new web game designed and developed by Spore Productions.

The "advergame", found at www.Claires.com, lets players customize a cartoon girl character. Then, in the setting of a girl's room, the player can dress their custom girl in various fashionable items of clothing, and then accessorize her with Claire's earrings, necklaces, bracelets, handbags and headwear. Finally, when the player is all done getting ready, they get to choose a destination, where the player is rewarded with a mock photograph of their character at in the setting of their choice.

Aside from exposing players to Claire's products, the game encourages players to take a closer look at the items they used on their character. Upon exiting the game, the items used are displayed in a "Wishlist" page, which players can use to view detailed product information, and save to share with family and friends.
